The Fluoride Debate

Health Add comments

I might get some comments against my opinion here but I believe that fluoride in our water supply is a bad idea.   There are a lot of different claims and conspiracy theories that come with fluoride that may or may not be true.

I have heard that the nazi’s used to give it to their prisoners to make them more complacent and that our government has been pushing it for the same reason.

I have also heard that fluoride is a byproduct of the industry and instead of properly disposing of it they instead sell it to put into our water supply.

I have also heard that what they put in the water is not fluoride per say but it is actually a mix of chemicals that include some heavy metals if I remember correctly.

Again this information is questionable because it is from the Internet and I can’t personally verify it’s accuracy.  If you searched for that truth online you could look forever and never really be sure.

My chiropractor who I greatly respect is against it.

Watch this video and let me know where you stand on the debate.

Here is an article that argues that is it not the proper role of government to fluoridate the water which is another argument I agree with.

Well fortunately I don’t have to worry about filtration because they don’t fluoridate our town water.

The Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy would not agree with you:

“We are pleased to inform you that according to the Danish Ministry of Environment and Energy, toxic fluorides have never been added to the public water supplies. Consequently, no Danish city has ever been fluoridated.” (Klaus Werner, Royal Danish Embassy, Washington DC, December 22, 1999). http://www.fluoridation.com/c-denmark.htm

I just emailed the Danish to verify that their statement was in fact true.

You should also check out this site: http://www.fluoridealert.org/health/teeth/caries/fluoridation.html

Among many other things it claims that: “Today, tooth decay rates throughout continental western Europe – where 98% of the population does not drink fluoridated water – are as low as the tooth decay rates in the United States, where a majority of the population drinks fluoridated water.”

Please let me know if you find evidence to the contrary.

What point would the Danish disagree with me on? – Sorry I thought you were for fluoride and considered it safe. On the other hand the Danish referred to it as toxic.

I think your other comments I generally agree with.

Keep in mind most of the stuff I wrote in my post I also concede that it may or may not be true.

I don’t think it should be in our water because it is questionable if it is harmful or beneficial and the individual should be the one who chooses weather or not to use fluoride.

I also don’t believe it is the proper role of government.

“Wow, leave it to Dave to find a controversy I didn’t even knew existed!” Andrew, you remind me of “Niggaz With Attitudes” NWA. You love to complain. Why do you respond to Dave’s info, other than to toot you own horn? Wait a second, why do I respond to Dave’s info….same thing applies…lol Guys and Gals, forgive me. I get all up on my soap box. There is real truth out there, and it is up to us to find it and report. Forgive me Dave and Andrew and everyone else. I’m being human also. On top of that, thank you Angelique for the info that you posted…

I have a friend that kept flouride completely out of their children’s intake and all their teeth fell out. When that happened, they allowed flouride back into their lives, and the second set of teeth are all still there.
