I might get some comments against my opinion here but I believe that fluoride in our water supply is a bad idea. There are a lot of different claims and conspiracy theories that come with fluoride that may or may not be true.
I have heard that the nazi’s used to give it to their prisoners to make them more complacent and that our government has been pushing it for the same reason.
I have also heard that fluoride is a byproduct of the industry and instead of properly disposing of it they instead sell it to put into our water supply.
I have also heard that what they put in the water is not fluoride per say but it is actually a mix of chemicals that include some heavy metals if I remember correctly.
Again this information is questionable because it is from the Internet and I can’t personally verify it’s accuracy. If you searched for that truth online you could look forever and never really be sure.
My chiropractor who I greatly respect is against it.
Watch this video and let me know where you stand on the debate.
Here is an article that argues that is it not the proper role of government to fluoridate the water which is another argument I agree with.
Homeopathy is a form of alternative “medicine” that I have no faith in. I believe that traditional drugs should be avoided when possible and that high quality liquid herbal extracts are effective natural alternatives.
I have written a post that lists several rules about how to be healthy but most people probably won’t follow them because it’s too much effort to even learn the rules never mind follow them.
So in the spirit of keeping things simple I thought I would list here my top recommendations for staying healthy. This list is based on my opinion of what the common denominator is among health advice I respect.
Drink enough water (avoid soda)
Include fiber in every meal possible (beans, whole grain, vegetables)
Be physically active
Relieve stress often
There are many other areas of health that I find important and if you want to follow them I suggest you read my post Rules for Good Health.
I have read recently that if you want to make changes to your life that you pick only one thing to change and focus on that for one month. So if your goal is to be more healthy then decide for the next 30 days to drink 2 liters of water a day. After 30 days choose a new goal to accomplish. The easier you make the goal the better as it will increase your chances of success.
If you have read my previous posts in regards to food and hyperinflation you know that I think food prices are going to go up and we may also have food shortages.
In addition to storing up storable food you may want to consider planting a food garden.
I am new at this and I actually find planting a garden a little intimidating. However I was able to plant a few fruit trees and hopefully I will get ambitious enough to start a small garden this year as well.
This guide is intended help encourage people develop healthy habits so as to avoid chronic disease and experience overall well being.
